The mid-west of the United States is about to be hit with the coldest temperatures this country has seen in 20 years – and it just happens to occur in the middle of Trump’s administration. Let’s leave correlation aside just for a moment – even though we all know who’s at fault.
Once Donald Trump stole the 2016 election, he started putting in place policies that actually sped up climate change. Since his inauguration, there has been more natural disasters than ever before all attributable to Trump’s outright denial of climate change: Hurricane Irma, Hurricane Michael, the Kilauea Volcano in Hawaii, the volcano is Villarrica, Chile, the Alaskan Earthquake – and now the Polar Vortex of 2019.
To understand how Trump is solely responsible for a natural weather event, you need to understand what a Polar Vortex is. A polar vortex is a moving cell of arctic weather that has spun out from the North Pole and travels a bit south. In this case, the Polar Vortex of 2019 is cutting straight through our strongest ally (Canada) and dipping deep into the midwest, where over 20 million US citizens and upwards of 3 million undocumented citizens will have to endure temperatures reaching as low as -60.
Trump was nice to oil companies, he’s a conservative, he lowered taxes on the rich, he abolished the Ocamacare mandate and he put Brett Kavanaugh on the bench. Therefore, he is solely responsible for all of the lives lost and the damages done from this Day After Tomorrow style Polar Vortex.
This is why we need socialism. Diversity is our strength.
