We’re not going to lie. This week wasn’t a great week for us liberals. Because Russians hacked the Mueller investigation, Trump got let go, Michael Avenatti got arrested and the Green New Deal didn’t pass (also due to Russian interference). The good news is that all charges were dropped from Jussie Smollett and the Greenland ice sheets are growing – but that’s because of Obama, not Trump (more on that later).
So why did Jussie Smollet get dismissed of all charges? Wasn’t he guilty? The short answer is – meh. The real question one ought to be asking is this: is it morally right for Jussie Smollett to have been arrested when he was simply trying to spread awareness of rampant hate crimes by white nationalist Trump supporters in the great MAGA territory of Chicago?
Of course not. No one should be arrested simply for trying to raise awareness. Trump on the other hand should be indicted because we know deep down that he is guilty of treason.
It’s important to note that just because there was no evidence of collusion doesn’t mean that there wasn’t any. We know deep down that there was. Why? Because we all have televisions. We know he’s a traitor to our nation because he’s Donald Trump. If you do not agree with this bulletproof line of reasoning, well, perhaps you need to take a look in the mirror and evaluate where your morals lie.
