Hate Crimes

OPINION: Why Christianity should be banned and classified as an antisemitic hate group

In this time of turmoil and hatred in the US, should we be doing everything necessary to save the people of Jewish faith before another Holocaust happens?

True Patriot Wear

Many in the Jewish faith would agree: pinning the crucifixion of the Christian Jesus Christ onto Jewish people is literally a hate crime. With the occurrence of hate crimes on the rise in the US, and especially the amount of Christians in our own US government, we should strongly consider taking cancel culture to the religious world and saying goodbye to Christianity for good.

It is a well-established story line in the Christian religion that Jewish people killed Jesus, or influenced Roman soldiers to kill Jesus, and is the basis of most teachings at Christian churches. Teaching children from an early age of this inaccurate account is indoctrination on the harmless end, and encouragement of persecution of Jews on the harmful end. It not only encourages young Christians to feel hatred at the Jewish people for killing their god’s son, but also creates an avenue for retaliation with reason.

Other nations have already begun the process of criminalizing Christianity. The Scandinavian countries have already jailed members of the faith for preaching hate, and Britain is also making efforts to change the way Catholics preach.

Banning Christianity in the United States would allow a much-needed sigh of relief for minority groups everywhere. Organizations like the Westboro Baptist Church show just how far they are willing go with their beliefs, and unchecked, are allowed to protest funerals and wreak havoc on people who don’t deserve their hate. We can easily see that, with time, and especially if Trump is not impeached, the Christian right will be given free reign of the US government, and the country will be pushed more onto a dangerous path.

If Trump is impeached, we should take steps to ensure that Christianity never regains the stranglehold of power it has on the United States. This culture is rooted in patriarchal tendencies, hatred toward the JLGBTQ community, and with the very basis of their religion, the Jewish faith. Hate crimes are happening, but we can stop them. Join together and offer a hand to your fellow countryperson. Help us stop the hatred and bigotry that has been the Christian faith.

Stay safe and fight back,

Quinn
