If there’s one thing conservatives never seem to understand, it’s the cold hard fact that Antifa literally means “Anti-Fascist”. It’s as if conservatives think that fascism is a good thing. To a rational liberal, it’s clear that fascism isn’t a good thing, thus, anything that opposes fascism (like Antifa) is the force for good by default.
In case you are one of those people who are confused about what fascism is, let’s break it down for you. Fascism is the methodology for suppressing free speech, ruling with an iron fist, having a “my way or the highway” mentality and striking down anyone who opposes your perspective or opinion. Antifa is the polar opposite of that.
Antifa is a force for good because it practices tolerance and acceptance through the act of suppressing actual fascists.
It’s 2019 so it’s important to understand that an actual fascist is anyone with bigoted right wing views. If they don’t want medicare for all, they’re fascist. If they don’t want open borders, they’re a fascist. If they don’t want to ban hate speech, they’re a fascist. Therefore, conservatives and Republicans are fascist from the start and are subsequently fair game to Antifa.
Conservatives, Republicans and anyone remotely right wing or with any right wing views who oppose Antifa are opposing the effort to combat bigotry. Resisting Antifa makes one a fascist and therefore a target. It’s as simple as that. If you’re not with Antifa, Antifa is against you. Silence is inaction and being complicit with bigotry is equivalent to turning a blind eye to the massacre of billions of innocent lives. Diversity is our strength.
