Tim Pool and Lou Perez claim the Proud Boys AREN’T Nazis

Unhinged MAGA cultists are defending the indefensible

Unwoke Latinx Lou Perez (pronouns he/him) has made a name for himself by way of “comedy” skits that have been throughly debunked by independent fact checkers on social media.

READ: We the Internet TV is alt-right propaganda, and Lou Perez should be deplatformed

While Mx. Perez would have you believe he is without party affiliation, he has been known to spew likewise debunked Republican talking points — such as the idea that Donald Trump is not as bad as Hitler.

Given his past defenses of Donald Trump, it should come as no surprise that he would choose also to defend the Proud Boys.

Writing for one of the most obscenely patriarchal publications on the Internet, Mx. Perez claims without evidence that the Proud Boys are not an alt-right white supremacist militia.

“I’m sure you can find plenty about the Proud Boys to hate without having to make shit up about them. They don’t have to be white supremacists or homophobes for you to think they’re dicks.”

There is a LOT to unpack there, so it’s probably best that you don’t. Just rest assured that this is a flagrant endorsement of the Proud Boys, Donald Trump, and the dystopian Handmaid’s Tale future we have in store if the GOP is allowed to keep packing the courts with sex offenders.

But I digress.

Spiked and Mx. Perez are not alone in their support for the Proud Boys’ hateful, intolerant, dogmatic, anti-LGBTQIAPplus POC ideology. My ex-brother recently gave platform to their Grand Wizard, a white supremacist of color by the name of Enrique Tarrio.

Halfway through the podcast, Tim let slip an insufficiently offensive opinion. Triggered by his lack of extremism, toxically-masculine Tarrio loudly accused my brother of being a milquetoast fence-sitter before launching into a violent punching frenzy. Tim frantically began shouting out the names of breakfast cereals, and now my twin brother (whom I have repeatedly disavowed) is a Proud Boy.

Kudos to civil rights leader Shaun King for calling him out. Can we get a statement on Lou Perez next?
