Trump’s Southern Border Wall Will Put Texas High School On Mexico Side

The construction of Trump’s infamous wall along the US and Mexico Southern border has already begun and it already puts Sierra Madre High School in Southern Texas in danger. Trump’s wall cuts right along the northern part of the campus, essentially putting the high school on Mexico’s side of the wall.

This wall will make it impossible for the students of Sierra Madre High School to travel to and from school without having to cross the border wall themselves.
Dr. Christopher Andrews of Sierra Madre High School discussed with the high school staff the implications of this wall and how it will affect the students and faculty. Needless to say, it will have more than a negative impact on each student. There is no immediate sign that the wall will be rerouted and it is estimated that the entire high school will be walled out from the rest of mainland United States by the end of 2017.
Everyone seems to be in panic. Students are scared, parents are angry, and the school system is doing what it can in order to fight against Trump’s unconstitutional border wall.

This is just another example of the recklessness coming from President Donald Trump. This unconstitutional wall not only keeps out kind and peaceful undocumented immigrants, but it’s also alienating fellow US citizens. It already seems too late for Sierra Madre High School but with enough awareness, other schools near the Southern border can be saved before they are walled off as well.
